Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., reminds congregation members they can donate to the pastor’s discretionary fund at any time. This fund is used to give temporary financial assistance to people of our congregation and the community when a sudden need arises.

You can send contributions to the church or place them in the offering plate on Sunday mornings. Mark your checks or envelopes “pastor’s discretionary fund.”

Holy Trinity’s Catasauqua and North Catasauqua summer kids programs are just around the corner!

Lunches are prepared at Holy Trinity and served at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St., Catasauqua, and William J. Albert Memorial Park, 501 Grove St., North Catasauqua, Mondays through Fridays. Volunteers are needed three times a week for food preparation and daily to hand out the lunches.

Child abuse and state criminal clearances are needed by volunteers at the playgrounds. They’re free and easy to obtain. Just ask if you need assistance.

The groups also need help replenishing food supplies. Individually packaged salty snacks, like Doritos, Takis, potato chips and cheese curls, and cases of small bottles of water can be dropped off during regular church office hours or on Sunday mornings. You can also make a monetary donation designated for summer lunches, and the groups will take care of the shopping.

Call the church office at 610-264-2641 with any questions 9 a.m.-noon.
