The National Youth Bike Summit hosted by Community Bike Works is being held at Muhlenberg College June 14-16 and needs volunteers for a variety of shifts and tasks from assisting with registration, directing attendees to appropriate buildings, managing the bicycle check out/check in process to chaperoning a fun youth event. Grace Community Foundation food pantry in Allentown distributes food every Friday, and the third and fourth Saturday every month. Docents are an integral part of the Lehigh Valley Zoo in Schnecksville. These are long term volunteer positions who act as informal teachers for the public and assist the zoo in connecting our guests with our mission by interpreting exhibits across the zoo, assisting with interactive exhibits and working alongside the education team. Humankind Day, hosted by Unidos, Inc is a community event which is held collaboratively with other organizations and the Allentown School District to identify the families of high need and provide supplies and activities to keep their children safe and engaged during the summer months while encouraging continued learning. Looking for a fun and engaging activity with friends, why not become a Zoellner Arts Center volunteer usher? Hosting over 250 events a year including many student club activities, as well as campus and community events, volunteer for at least five events a season, mostly nights and weekends.
