Whitehall’s Ian Thomas, left in above photo and also at right, took fourth place in the long jump at this past weekend’s state track and field meet at Shippensburg University. Thomas’ best jump was his second jump for a distance of 22-7, which at the time, put him in second place. The event was won by Emmaus’ Kyle Moore, above center, who had a jump of 23-6.75 in his fifth attempt. Reading’s Xavier Beatty was second with a 23-1.5 and Dallastown’s Michael Scott was third with a 22-9.75. Southern Lehigh’s Jack Inglis took eighth with a 22-5.5 to also represent District 11.
