LVECU presents scholarships to Lehigh Valley students

The Lehigh Valley Educators Credit Union met recently in the cafeteria at Parkland High School.

In addition to its annual meeting, the LVECU also celebrated its 90th anniversary, as well as presenting scholarships of $1,000 to 10 Lehigh Valley students.

They included Ryan Adamson, of Freedom High School; Celia Christ of East Penn; Anna Edwards and Jadeyn Hagadus, both from Allentown Central Catholic High School; Gabriel Trexler and Emma Carl, both from Emmaus High School; Lila Cygan and Allison Emanuel, both from Parkland High School; Brandon Panuccio, Bethlehem Catholic High School and Quinn Wittman, from Salisbury High School.

Five of the recipients were available to receive the scholarships at the meeting.

The LVECU has provided $230,000 in scholarships since its inception in 2001.

Girl Scout Troop 8133, Nor-Bath, provided a display encouraging Lehigh Valley residents to recycle and use durable products rather than single use products.
