Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A. I am currently a senior at Emmaus High School
Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.
A. My mother Nicole, father Keith and sisters Alyssa and Kylie.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite subject this year has been physics because my teacher is able to make difficult topics interesting and he makes me want to learn the topics.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I am an Eagle Scout from Troop 131 in Wescosville. I also was awarded the Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Leadership presented by the West Point Society.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How is being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?
A. I participated on the fitness team for several years, the rifle team and this year I joined the diving team. All of these activities helped me grow mentally and physically. They also help me achieve individual goals, as well as goals for our team. Lastly, through each activity I discovered ways to overcome some of the challenges I’ve faced throughout my high school experience.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. One of the biggest (and more fun) challenges was completing a nine-day, 120-mile hike through the backcountry of New Mexico. It was a hard journey, but worth every moment.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. My next goal will be to attend Rochester Institute of Technology to study cyber security/cyber defense.
Q. Whom do you hope to emulate? Why?
A. I would hope to be like my parents. They are both very hard workers, who have instilled in me good morals and values. They showed me what hard work can produce, learning from mistakes and to stay true to myself.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I would like to be remembered for being dedicated and hardworking. My parents would say I should want to be remembered as a kind and humble person.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. Always strive to leave a lasting impression on people you meet and interact with. First impressions are the most important and go a long way. You never know when you will cross paths with someone again.
