The Moravian University baseball squad has had senior designated hitter Cole Cherkas (Pittston, Pa.) named to the 2024 Landmark Baseball All-Conference First Team while senior pitcher David Ciaccio (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic HS) and graduate student second baseman Chris Pow (Collegeville, Pa.) were selected to the Honorable Mention squad.

Ciaccio led the Hounds pitching staff with a 5-4 record this spring to go with a 4.04 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 55.2 innings over 11 appearances. During his career, Ciaccio made 45 appearances with 33 starts to go with a 12-14 record and 133 strikeouts, which is ninth in program history, in 187.1 innings, seventh in school history.

“David was the every weekend guy to get the ball and compete,” noted Coe. “Every game he threw, we knew that he was going to limit any offense he was facing and give us the best opportunity to win.”
