A 33-year-old man has died following a motor vehicle accident in Whitehall.

According to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, James J. Gallagher, of Penn Forest Township, was pronounced dead 8:49 p.m. May 23 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.

Gallagher was the operator of a motorcycle that lost control and struck a curb. The cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries due to the accident. The manner of death was ruled an accident, according to the coroner’s office.

The incident occurred approximately 8:02 p.m. May 23 in the 400 block of Fullerton Avenue.

In addition to the coroner’s office, Whitehall Township Police Department is also investigating.
