Marie “Mitzie” Faryna, 83, of Catasauqua, died May 22, 2024, at home. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Faryna.

Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine (Horvath) Polzer.

She worked as a machine operator at the former Cross Country Clothes for 42 years.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

She was member of Coplay Saengerbund and Northampton Leiderkranz and was a former volunteer for Northampton Fire Police for more than 15 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie and Rose Marie; a son, Richard and wife Mary of Northampton; three grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan and Dylan; four great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Travis, Tyler and Owen; and a sister, Patricia Pepos of Nazareth.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Stephen and John; a twin sister, Margaret “Muggs” Csencsits; three sisters, Pauline Polzer, Stella Taus and Anna Wiggins.
