Leon A. Davieau Jr., 91, of Allentown, died May 23, 2024, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Maryann (Resotko) for 69 years. Born in Passaic, N.J., he was the son of the late Leon A. Sr., and Cecile (Ducharme) Davieau.
He graduated from Pope Pious High School in 1950 and earned his bachelors in electrical engineering from Newark College of Engineering.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He worked for Bell Labs as an engineer and retired in 1989.
He was a member of Saint Ann’s Church, Emmaus.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Gerald and his wife, Rebecca and David and his wife, Marilee; daughters, Kathleen Hoffman and her husband, Mark, Karen Lapos and her husband, Mark and Laura Stephon and her husband, David; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Pauline Van Der Kraats.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. May 30, in Saint Ann’s Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. May 29, in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.
