Lehigh Township Historical Society is planning a barbecue-to-go meal, provided by Country View Meats, Danielsville, set for noon-3 p.m. June 15.

Choose from roast chicken or pulled pork with baked potato and roll with butter. Choose two sides (applesauce, baked beans or creamed cabbage) and home-baked cake for dessert.

Orders must be placed by June 7, and pickup is at the LTHS Historical Centre, 3811 Lehigh Drive. Call 610-440-0151 for orders.

St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Drive, Berlinsville, will be holding a self-defense seminar 10 a.m.-noon June 29 with instructor Kyoshi Jeff Driscoll, an internationally known martial arts teacher with more than 30 years of experience.

Driscoll will teach how to avoid situations and how to escape situations along with other helpful skills.
