Janet L. Engleman, 80, of Laurys Station, died May 16, 2024, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Barry Engleman Sr. for 36 years.
Born in Treichlers, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Grace (Miller) Anthony.
She graduated from Lehigh Carbon Community College with a degree in medical assisting.
She worked as a medical assistant for a few years. She then worked for Macungie Elementary School as a cafeteria aid for more than 10 years. She then worked in the bakery and the flower department at Giant for more than 20 years before retiring.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Laurys Station.
She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia C. Greenzweig of Slatington and Fay Ann Schmoyer of Walnutport; two sons, Barry R. Jr. of Laurys Station and Dwayne and wife Kerstin of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Dorothy Hosier of Walnutport; 12 grandchildren; and multiple great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy L. Keller; and two sisters, Pauline and Lucille.
Arrangements were made by Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton.
