The free summer concert series has begun. Triple Dog Dare performs 7-10 p.m. May 31 at the amphitheater at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St.

Get out your lawn chairs and blankets, and settle in for a fun evening.

Catasauqua Garden Club will next meet 1 p.m. June 5 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua. Joe Veshinfsky, a Pennsylvania Master Gardener, will discuss growing a tomato and pepper salsa garden. Garden club members will also present artistic and horticultural exhibits for judging.

Friendly garden-curious visitors are always welcome.

Friday fun nights at Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., feature a light supper, board games, puzzles, bean bags, music and karaoke. The fun night, held 5-9 p.m., is open for the entire community, not just Holy Trinity members.
