HOMETOWN HEROES: To July 14. Join Embassy Bank is honoring the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country, in a community celebration. The commemorative event features the Hometown Heroes 2024 photo-banner, live music and remembrance ceremonies, including “A Time to Remember,” and “Remember Our Heroes” luminary display honoring those who have served in the United States armed forces.
The campus will be draped with images of local military heroes as a display of the appreciation and gratitude for their sacrifices and contributions. SUICIDE PREVENTION EVENT: The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Lehigh County will sponsor the Comedy to Break the Stigma night June 1 at Civic Theater in Allentown. The doors and a limited cash bar opens 7 p.m., and the show starts 8 p.m.
This adult comedy event will benefit Aevidum, a school club that works to empower youth to shatter the silence surrounding depression, suicide and other mental health concerns that face teens.
Performers include Chris Nee, Jake Mattera, Gracie Canaan, Albert Davis, Tyler Rothrock, Rachel Peters, Steve Bickel and John Amendolia.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP CAMP: YLEAD is a summer youth leadership camp for high school students in the Lehigh Valley. Participants develop critical leadership skills while working to support nonprofit organizations through service projects.
This year, the camp will be offered two different weeks: June 24-28 and July 8-12. All programming will be held at the Volunteer Center’s office at 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem. (Banana Factory 2nd floor).

SUMMER RESTAURANT WEEK: The Downtown Bethlehem Association (DBA) presents one of the most delicious weeks of the year – Historic Bethlehem Summer Restaurant Week! From June 23 through 29, participating downtown Bethlehem restaurants will offer prix fixe menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Diners are encouraged to visit their favorite participating restaurants throughout the week. No passes, tickets or coupons are required, but reservations are recommended where accepted.
