The District 11 baseball tournament gets underway this week with Liberty entering the 6A tournament as the top-seed after winning the East Penn Conference championship last week.
The Hurricanes get a week off before playing on May 26 in the semifinals against the winner of the four-five matchup between Emmaus and Northampton.
On the bottom side of the bracket, Nazareth comes into the tournament as the second-seed and will host seventh-seeded Stroudsburg. They’ll meet the winner of three-six matchup between Parkland and Freedom. All 6A quarterfinals take place on May 22.
In 4A, Bethlehem Catholic made a run to the EPC finals, but the Hawks got stuck with being the fourth-seed in the bracket due to Tamaqua and Wilson winning league titles.
Tamaqua is the top-seed and will play the winner of four-five matchup between Becahi and Lehighton.
Wilson is the second-seed and plays either third-seeded Blue Mountain or sixth-seeded North Schuylkill. Quarterfinals in 4A kick off on Wednesday as well and semifinals will take place on May 26.
