District 11 Softball

The Northampton girls softball team took on Easton in the opening round of the District 11 playoffs on Tuesday. The Kids defeated the Rovers 12-2 in six innings. The win allows them to move on to play top seed Nazareth, which had a bye in the opening round. That contest takes place on May 23 at 4 p.m. at Nazareth. Against the Rovers, the Kids broke things open after taking a 4-2 lead through three innings. NHS scored three in the fourth and fifth and added two more in the sixth. Rosalie Echevarria and Josephine Siegfried each had two RBIs in the win. Siegfried went 3-for-4 on the say with two runs as well. Ava Cascario, Hannah Duerr and Kiley Henritzy all added two hits. Hailey Makovsky went all six innings and allowed no earned runs while walking one and striking out five.
