Catherine M. Gery, 91, formerly of Emmaus, died May 12, 2024, at the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the loving wife of William P. Gery, with whom she would have celebrated 69 years of marriage May 14. Born in Upper Macungie Township, she was the daughter of the late Fred W. and Margaret E.S. (Roth) Leiby.
She enjoyed working as a bank teller at Fogelsville National Bank and became head teller of the Wescosville branch. She ended her banking career at Merchants Bank to become a full-time homemaker. Later in life, she worked and retired from Dun & Bradstreet.
She was a lifetime member of the Rainbow Girls and member of the Order of the Amaranth.
She enjoyed playing the piano and singing and was a lifelong member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church choir and an officer of the Ladies Aid. She served as the church treasurer for many years.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Kristin Hlavinka and her husband, Mark, of Macungie; grandson, Alex; nieces, Faye Casciano and Nanette Leiby. She was predeceased by a son, Mark; brother, Sterling Leiby.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. May 28 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville, with a visitation 10-11 a.m. May 28 in the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., Fogelsville.
