A group of residents have begun weeding, mulching and planting at the Historic Rose Garden for the 2024 growing season and will be adding more white and yellow roses, as well as replacing some roses that failed.
Volunteers are always welcome at the Saturday work sessions and should show up at around 10 a.m. and speak with Barbara Kozero, who is coordinating the volunteer efforts in the garden.
New orders of roses and plants will soon be arriving. Anyone interesting in donating to support the Rose Garden planting efforts can send a check to the Mount Airy Neighborhood Association, 1528 W. Market Street. Special Rose Garden cards are available for memorial donations. Indicate on your check if you would like one.
