Library offering various events

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, is inviting yarn lovers of all ages and skill levels to attend the Knot Just Knitting group 2-4 p.m. May 16 and 23.

Bring your materials for an afternoon of knitting with friends and swapping tips.

The Young Critics Book Club will meet to discuss the novel “The Night Diary” by Veera Hiranandani from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. May 16.

K’Nex Builders Club for kids ages 5 and older will take place 1-2 p.m. May 17.

K’Nex is a rod and connector building system that lets participants imagine and attempt to build their own design and make it move.

The library’s Garden Club, an intergenerational gardening club for kids and adults, will meet from 10-11:30 a.m. May 18.

The club will celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month by indulging in a stress-free, hands-on DIY activity.

A Teen’s Dungeon and Dragon Night for kids in grades seven through 12 will take place 6-8 p.m. May 20.

Idea Lab for adults, interested in exploring new ideas and creating something unique, will meet 1-4 p.m. May 21.

Book club will meet 7-8 p.m. May 21 to discuss the novel “Until Leaves Fall in Paris,” by Sarah Sundin.

Due to high demand, indoor story times are for Lehigh Carbon Library Cooperative and My First Library (Share) cardholders who live in Parkland School District or paying nonresidents.
