George S. Rennie Jr., 67, of Schnecksville, formerly of Dalton and Pittsfield, Mass., died suddenly May 9, 2024, at his residence.
He and his wife, Karen L. (Houghtlin) Rennie, were married 41 years on May 7.
Born June 24, 1956, in Pittsfield, he was the son of the late George S. Rennie Sr. and Alma Lucy (McGowan) Rennie.
He was a licensed boiler operator for General Electric in Pittsfield and Bayonne, N.J., for a total of 48 years before retiring.
Since his formal retirement, he was a school bus driver for the Parkland School District for the last three years.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Walnutport.
A lifelong avid roller skater and NASCAR fan, he also raced competitively with go karts for many years.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by children George S. Rennie III (Kayla) of Jamestown, Tenn., Trina L. Grauvogel (Gary) of Jim Thorpe, and Bryan A. Rennie (Angela) of Mechanicsburg; sister Sandra R. Houghtlin of Pittsfield; grandchildren Bailey, Carly, Mason, Chase and Parker; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Alma L. Schilling.
