Whitehall Township Public Library: Healthy living presentation is May 23

Join us for a healthy living presentation about nutrition for adults 6 p.m. May 23 with Corrine Kanetski, registered dietitian.

Mike Jesberger is back 6:30 p.m. May 28 to present “The Body of Abraham Lincoln.”

Learn about the failed attempt to steal Lincoln’s body from his tomb for ransom. He’ll discuss the debate and decision on where the president was to be buried.

Registration is requested.

A basics of Medicare program is set for 6 p.m. June 4, presented by Kathy Baker, licensed Medicare insurance agent.

Registration is requested.

Red Robin reading programs are scheduled for 6 p.m. May 29 and June 12. Join us for this special storytime where Red Robin’s mascot Red and a helper will lead our storytime.

No registration is required.

It’s Smokey Bear’s 80th birthday! This May, kids ages 4-13 can participate in the Smokey Bear reading challenge.

Complete the reading activity challenge this month and win Smokey prizes.

The library has a number of clubs that meet monthly.

The book club for adults meets 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. Come discuss what you’re currently reading.

The coloring club for adults meets 11 a.m. the first and third Thursdays and 5:30-7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday.

The Good Yarn group meets for knitting, crocheting and other needle crafts 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.

Teens interested in volunteering can join the Teen Advisory Board. Meetings are 1:30 p.m. one Saturday a month. Check our calendar for dates.

The library is currently accepting donations for the indoor yard sale, set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 7-8.

The library will accept home goods, decorations, toys and more. The library will not accept clothes, electronics or anything too large, such as furniture.

The library is open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
