Robert E. Lawless, 93, formerly of Allentown, died May 9, 2024, in the home of his son in Punta Gorda, Fla. He was the husband of the late Joanne L. (Kibler) Lawless. Born in Tobyhanna, he was a son of the late John and Florence (Hochrine) Lawless.
He was a graduate of Allentown High School, Class of 1949.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a former member of A.L. Post #576.
He was a service engineer for Air Products for 35 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, Allentown, where he was a former consistory and building and grounds member.
He is survived by a son, Robert E. Jr., of Punta Gorda, Fla.; daughter, Kathy Diehl and her husband, Wayne, of Coplay; son, Edward and his wife, Heather, of White Haven; brother, Paul and his wife, Eleanor, of Dover, Del.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Susan; a stepson, William McFadden; three brothers and a sister.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
