The borough’s twilight summer concert series is held 6-9 p.m. at Second and Chestnut streets. The concert schedule includes The Castaways May 22, Steve Brosky and Jimmy Meyers June 5 and the Jeni Hackett Duo June 19.

Coplay Garden Club will meet 7 p.m. May 30 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St.

Coplay Borough’s municipal pool opens June 8. It will be open noon-7 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays.

Redeemed Christian Church of God, 5 N. Third St., will hold the Praise Arena’s 20th anniversary and ribbon cutting celebration and dedication. Events will include an anniversary concert 7 p.m. June 28, anniversary service and banquet noon June 29 and a thanksgiving service 10:45 a.m. June 30.

The theme of the celebration is “Expressions of Supernatural Grace.”

If your child or grandchild is a resident of Coplay, graduating from high school in 2024 and planning to attend a college, university, trade school or the police academy, consider applying for a Coplay Scholarship Fund scholarship.

Recipients could receive scholarships up to $5,000 or $10,000.

Coplay Food Bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.

If unable to attend the scheduled Tuesday morning time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.

The food bank needs coffee, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned pasta, rice pouches and non-sweetened dry cereals. Monetary donations are always accepted.

Aerobic exercise is held 8:45 a.m. Saturdays and 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays in the auditorium at borough hall, 98 S. Fourth St. There is a small cost.

Bring dumbbells if you’d like to enhance your workout.

Coplay American Legion Post 426 has an special mailbox in front of the Post at 134 S. Second St. Worn-out American flags can be deposited into the mailbox for the Post to properly destroy them.

Coplay Athletic Club is seeking new and renewed memberships. The gym is located on the second floor of borough hall.

A gym membership costs $90 per year and $80 for renewals and prorated.
