Christopher Casey sworn as second-ranking police officer

Sixteen-year Salisbury Township Police Department veteran police officer Christopher Casey was promoted from sergeant to lieutenant and sworn in to his new position May 9 at a meeting of the township’s board of commissioners at the township building along South Pike Avenue.

“Over the years, Lt. Casey has held many ranks and positions within our organization,” Police Chief Donald Sabo said. “He is the first township officer to have held the positions of patrolman, corporal, detective, sergeant and now, lieutenant.”

The position of lieutenant is the department’s second-highest ranking position, behind only the chief of police.

“Those who know Lt. Casey recognize him as a very dedicated and hardworking officer. He is of high moral character and is an asset to our community, both on and off duty,” Sabo said.

Casey resides in Salisbury Township with his wife, Lisa and two daughters, Chelsey and Camryn.
