The Allentown Area Food Bank is seeking bilingual volunteers to assist at the food bank during the intake process to ensure all information is clearly communicated to clients. Are you skilled at using computers/laptops/tablets/cellphones? If so, Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth needs you. They are looking for a volunteer to assist residents with setting up email accounts, downloading apps, using email, troubleshooting issues, etc. Schedule is extremely flexible. Twisted Purse Bingo Night and K-9 Officer Meet & Greet will be held May 10 in Bath. Hosted by K-9 Kop Project, volunteers are needed to sell tickets and daubers, run baskets to raffle winners and verify bingo card winners. The proceeds go toward an operational medical class for K-9 officers to learn how to render first aid to their K-9 partners when needed. Minimum age to volunteer is 15 with an adult. Certified Pleasure of Your Company Therapy Dog teams visit with patients at St. Luke’s University Health Network. Handlers and their dogs walk with patients. Visits are scheduled based on your schedule. Handlers must also complete the volunteer requirements for the hospital. See what a difference you and your dog can be to a patient. We need care every day. Stanley Llama and the pigs, goats, horses, ponies, alpacas and other animals would love to meet you. The Gress Mountain Ranch in Orefield needs volunteers to assist with their daily feeding and watering. Small groups also needed to help with ground maintenance, composting and cleaning of stalls.
