Press Photo by Jim Marsh The 26th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day was held April 27, when area residents could discard expired, unwanted and unused prescription and over-the-counter medications at multiple police-staffed locations throughout Lehigh County. He attributed the slow day to the fact a discard drop-off box is available daily in the vestibule of the Emmaus Police Station, along Jubilee Street in the borough. That permanent drop-off is used frequently, he said. The discarded drugs are collected by the DEA and safely incinerated.
