According to Paul Boyle, public works director, the annual tire drop-off event is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 11 in the upper parking lot at Coplay Parkway.

He also reminds residents street sweeping will be May 15 and 16. Watch for and honor the “no parking” signs on sweeping days.

Coplay Borough Mayor Steve Burker announced the borough’s twilight summer concert series schedule. Concerts are 6-9 p.m. at North Second and Chestnut streets.

The music schedule will include The Castaways May 22, Steve Brosky and Jimmy Meyers June 5 and the Jeni Hackett Duo June 19.

Coplay Garden Club will meet 7 p.m. May 30 in St. John’s Lutheran Church’s social hall, 18 S. Third St.

The club meets the last Thursday of the month.

The municipal pool opens June 8. It will be open noon-7 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays.

Aqua Zumba will be 5:45-6:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
