Catasauqua: Community choir starts rehearsals
The Catasauqua Community Choir will begin rehearsals May 9 for the summer season. Rehearsals are 7-8 p.m. Thursdays at Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St.

The Friends of Catasauqua Parks group will next meet 6:30 p.m. May 15 at borough hall, 90 Bridge St. The group meets the third Wednesday of the month.
The mission of the group is to improve the quality of life of Catasauqua residents through recreational fundraising events to sustain our parks. They are always looking for new volunteers and members. There are no cost or dues to pay to join this group.

The South Catasauqua annual neighborhood yard sale is being held May 17 and 18 at locations south of Race Street, up to and including Circle Drive. The sale will be held rain or shine.
There is a small fee, which is due by May 11, for participation to defray the cost of the neighborhood permit and the cost of advertising. Payment can be made to Linda at 385 Faith Drive, Ronnie at 520 Circle Drive, Penny at 809 Bethlehem Road and Eugenia at 817 Bath Ave.

Catasauqua Garden Club’s annual plant sale will be held 9 a.m.-1 p.m. May 18 at the Public Library of Catasauqua, 302 Bridge St. There will be numerous varieties of perennials; annuals, such as tomato, pepper, eggplant and house plants; and succulents available.
Penn State University soil test kits will be available for sale, too.
The library will also have a hot dog and bake sale.
