Art club members get a surprise from Hollywood

CONTRIBUTED PHOTO Members of the Shoemaker Fifth Grade Art Club recently received recognition of their art work from Hollywood. The students created and painted a mural inspired by “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” to celebrate the screening of the movie at AMC 16 Center Valley. The filmmakers got wind of the project. Club mentor and Shoemaker Elementary School art teacher Jeff Schreck explained what came next in an email to The Press: “Sony and Ghost Corps sent the students ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire' theatrical posters and AMC gave the young artists tickets to the film. They were blown away and so thankful!” Shreck wrote of his students.
