It is officially May! The weather is warming up, and the grass is getting greener.
Some neighbors are anxious to get some yard work done and prepare for outdoor activities.
Although it is tempting to start planting annual flowers, the general rule is to wait until May 15 or later. This is when our area should be home free from frosty mornings.
Take breaks when gardening and enjoy!

Mother’s Day is celebrated May 12. Remember to brighten that special lady’s day, whether it’s your mother, grandmother, aunt or friend, and treat them to a nice dinner, ice cream, flowers or a gift.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the ladies!
