DUI
A 52-year-old male motorist, of New York, was placed into custody for driving under the influence and fleeing and eluding after he allegedly drove away in a pickup truck when state troopers attempted to stop him for driving erratically along Interstate 78 eastbound in Lower Macungie Township, 11:43 p.m. March 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The pursuit lasted several miles along the highway, ending on West Rock Road, Salisbury Township, where the pickup truck crashed, according to a news release.
Found firearm
A resident of Benjamin Court, Upper Milford Township, found a black backpack in the bed of his pickup truck at approximately 5:30 p.m. April 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Investigators learned the bag, which contained a pistol valued at $600, was stolen from a vehicle in Bethlehem.
Possession
A 45-year-old male, of Coopersburg, was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine at a location along Urffers Road, Lower Milford Township, 6:49 p.m. April 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Drugs
A 19-year-old male, of Emmaus, allegedly had 14 baggies of marijuana in his vehicle at a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Minesite Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:02 a.m. March 2, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. A strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle at the time of the stop, prompting a search by authorities.
Retail theft
Three people allegedly worked together to remove 18 handbags, with a total value of $2,840.23, from retailer Nordstrom Rack, 750 N. Krocks Road, Suite #303, Lower Macungie Township, 3:30 p.m. Feb. 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The alleged thieves are described as two males and one female.
A 34-year-old male, of Allentown, allegedly fraudulently returned an item and committed two more retail thefts in an incident at retailer Target, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:34 a.m. March 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Items involved included headphones valued at $179.99 and trading cards valued at $145.
Harassment
An 11-year-old male, of Emmaus, was shoved during an altercation with another boy at Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Suite #150, Lower Macungie Township, 10:46 p.m. March 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The boy was not injured, according to authorities.
A 26-year-old male, of Allentown, was cited for harassment 11:26 p.m. April 16 at a location along Hunt Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Theft of vehicle
A resident of John Street, Upper Milford Township, learned an ATV was stolen after an incident involving a pursuit by state troopers March 14. The incident was detailed in a news release as follows: The pursuit of an ATV happened in the area of Cedar Crest Boulevard and Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:17 a.m. March 14. Using the license plate of the vehicle, troopers located the registered address for the ATV and went to the residence. The owner then realized the ATV was missing and reported it as stolen. The ATV was later found and returned to the resident, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Theft
Signs with a total value of $75 were removed from the front lawn of ice cream shop TG Countryside, 5130 Chestnut St., Upper Milford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported April 16.
Criminal mischief
A locked piece of construction equipment was damaged with a brick at New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, 619 Schantz Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 3:30 p.m. April 18 and 5 a.m. April 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported April 19.
