The Northampton track and field team swept East Stroudsburg North in a meet from April 22.

The girls were 116-34 winners while the boys won 114-35. The meet took place at Erdosy Stadium.

Anne Beenders had a massive day to lead the girls team. Beenders won four events in the meet. She took first in the 100 with a time of 12.7. She also swept the jumping events, winning the high jump clearing 5-0, the triple jump with a distance of 35-0 and then took the long jump with a distance of 16-4.5.

Joyce Shammas was tops in the 200 with a 27.8. Brooke Saul won the 400 with a time of 1:03.4.

Liv Jusinski captured the 1600 with a time of 6:04.8.

In the hurdles, Brianna Caulwell won the 100 in 17.1 with Victoria Phillips taking the 300 in 48.9.

Alexa Wiland took the javelin throw with a toss of 97-7.

On the boys side, three K-Kids helped to lead the way with two wins each.

Derec Fritzges swept the hurdle events. He ran for a time of 16.0 in the 100 and a 40.7 in the 300.

Andrew Szeplaki was first in the high jump clearing 5-9 and also took first in the pole vault clearing 12-3.

Tristen Pinnock also won two events with a first in the long jump at 19-11.5 and the triple jump with a distance of 42-9.

Other winners for the boys were Andrew Whitman in the 100 with a time of 11.2. Alex Schrampf won the 200 in 23.0 and Brady Dolak took the 400 in 51.2.

Robert Wheeler took the shot put with a throw of 42.5 and the javelin event went to Brandon Downey after a toss of 149-5.
