John “Johnny Jam” R. Stranzl, 70, of Allentown, died April 8, 2024.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John J. and Helen M. (Yagerhofer) Stranzl.

He was a 1971 graduate of Parkland High School.

He was a local musician, artist and painter. He played guitar, harmonica, sang and wrote songs and had his own band, the Rebeltones. He also performed with the Trendsetters, Rhythm Jacks and many other musicians throughout the area.

He is survived by sisters, Mary Ann and spouse Matt Frinzi of Breinigsville, Rita and spouse Tom Cramer of Nazareth and Janet and spouse Jody Arner of New Ringgold; a niece, Jennifer Cramer of Long Island, N.Y.; and four nephews, Jeffrey Cramer and wife Gaby with daughters Dara and Zoey of Nazareth, Tom Cramer and wife Jeneen with children Tommy and Sadie of Nazareth, Mike Frinzi and wife Ruby with daughter Milana of Macungie and Matthew Frinzi and wife Stacey with sons Roman and Monte of West Chester.
