Joel R. Hubler, 68, of Slatington, died unexpectedly on April 16, 2024.

He and his wife, Susan M. (Kwedder) Hubler, were married on May 2, 1980.

Born July 11, 1955, in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Clarence and Fern (Kantner) Hubler.

He retired from Agere, where he was an electrical engineer for many years.

He was a faithful member of Hope Community Evangelical Congregational Church, Fogelsville.

An avid gardener, he was passionate about home grown organic fruits and vegetables and sharing his produce with as many people as possible.

In addition to his wife, he will be lovingly remembered by his son Nathanael E. Hubler of South Carolina; brothers Paul Hubler of Huntsville, Ala., and Allan Hubler of Derwood, Ms.; sister Ellen and husband, Robert Degler, of Auburn.

He was predeceased by sisters Judith Drexler and Miriam Kazelis.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
