ACCHS Class of 2028 freshman orientation May 8

Come out to support our Allentown Central Catholic High School senior spring athletes at the remaining senior nights. The boys lacrosse team will recognize their seniors April 29, before their 7 p.m. game against Moravian Academy at Salisbury High School.
The girls lacrosse team will host its senior night at their home field at Salisbury High School May 1. We will honor our seniors before the 5:30 p.m. game when they face North Pocono High School. Finally, the Vikette softball team will have its senior night May 2 at Patriot Park, before the 6 p.m. game versus William Allen High School.
The boys lacrosse team will travel to play at Saucon Valley High School 4:30 p.m. April 25. They will play Bethlehem Catholic away 4 p.m. May 1.
The Vikings will conclude the regular season with two home games at Salisbury High School. The game versus Danville Area Senior High School will be held 7 p.m. May 2 and they will face Hempfield High School 5:30 p.m. May 6.
The girls lacrosse team will play Saucon Valley High School 5:30 p.m. April 25 at Salisbury High School and will travel to face Moravian Academy 4 p.m. April 29. The girls will wrap up the regular season when they play Quakertown High School away 4 p.m. May 3.
Shout out to our Vikettes, who defeated Parkland in an immense victory April 16.
The boys baseball team will host Emmaus High School 4 p.m. April 29 at Limeport Stadium and then will play Emmaus away 4 p.m. April 30. They will battle William Allen High School away 4 p.m. May 2 and will host Parkland 4 p.m. May 6 at Limeport Stadium.
The girls softball team will play Northampton High School away 4 p.m. April 24 and will travel to take on Nativity BVM High School 11 a.m. April 27. The Vikettes will then play Emmaus High School away 4 p.m. April 30. The last regular season game will be against Parkland, at home, 6 p.m. May 7.
The track and field team will compete in its last regular season meet 3:30 p.m. April 25 against Bethlehem Catholic High School at Dieruff High School.
ACCHS will have its Collegiate Athlete Signing Day 8:30 a.m. May 3 in Rockne Hall. Any Viking or Vikette playing their sport next year at the collegiate level will be honored.
The 2024 Spring Sports Awards and Mass will take place May 9. Mass will begin 9:45 a.m. with the awards ceremony following. We will celebrate all spring scholar athletes and guests may attend Mass and the ceremony.

The ACCHS cheer team will hold tryouts 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 18 in Rockne Hall and 3-6 p.m. May 20 in Masson Auditorium. Incoming freshmen may arrive 4:30 p.m. May 20 to allow travel time. On May 19, participants will review material independently. All attendees should wear athletic clothing and sneakers with their hair up and no jewelry. All cheerleaders must attend both days of tryouts. Email the coach with any questions at abaatz@acchs.info.
The ACCHS dance team will conduct tryouts 3:30-5:30 p.m. May 15 and 16 in Masson Auditorium. Dancers must participate both days, but email team directors with any schedule conflicts. Email danceteam.acchs@gmail.com to register.
The Class of 2028 freshman orientation will take place 6-8 p.m. May 8 in Rockne Hall. The orientation events are for all incoming ninth grade students and their parents/guardians. Students may register and pick up their freshmen T-shirt 6 p.m. before the 6:30 p.m. welcome presentation.
An academics, activities and athletics fair will follow 7 p.m. Teachers from various academic departments, student club members and representatives from sports teams can answer questions or sign up incoming freshmen 7-8 p.m.
April 30 and May 7 will offer the last two shadow day opportunities for prospective students.
Any seventh or eighth grader or high school transfer student can experience the Viking Nation alongside a current student. Go to www.acchs.info/visit-acchs to schedule a shadow day.
The ACCHS girls basketball team will host a clinic 3-6 p.m. May 19 at the St. Thomas More School gymnasium. The team invites all girls in third through sixth grade to attend and improve their ball handling, passing, shooting and defensive skills. Direct any questions to acchsvikettebasketball@gmail.com. The Class of 1974 will celebrate its 50th reunion Nov. 2 at Lehigh Country Club, 2319 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown. Visit the “CCHS Class of 1974” Facebook page for more information in the future.
The Class of 1979 will host its 45th reunion Oct. 12 in downtown Bethlehem. The Class of 1985 will have its 40th reunion Nov. 30. Details about the reunions will come in the following months, so check acchs.info/reunion-news for updates.

Congratulations to the 2024 Bishop’s Scholar Society Award recipients, Ian Abbadessa and Jacqueline McDonald. Both these Vikings earned this honor through academics, school involvement, Catholic faith and community service.
