George A. Miller, 89, of Macungie, died April 13, 2024, at Bethlehem South Nursing and Rehab. He was the loving husband of Teresa (Ramsey) Miller for 38 years. Born in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of the late George A. and Rose (Voes) Miller.
He graduated from Rockhurst High School, Kansas City, Mo. He then went to Rockhurst University, University of Notre Dame and earned his doctorate from Cornell University. After graduation, he took a job at Rohm and Haas, where he was a chemist and has over 40 patents.
He was a member of St. Ann’s Church, Emmaus.
He loved to travel with his family, go on cruises and sail his boat on the Chesapeake Bay. He earned his pilot license and loved to fly planes. He was a huge Phillies fan and had season tickets from 1979.
He is survived by his wife; son, Scott; stepson, Geoffrey Peiffer and his wife, Vera; stepdaughter, Kimberly Brugger and her husband, PJ; grandchildren, Aidan, Siena; six step-grandchildren; twin sister, Georgina Holt. He was predeceased by brothers, Roger, Clarence.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. April 26 in St. Ann’s Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
