The Neffs National Bank, recently present ed $100,000 in donations to six local educational foundations.
These donations will help fund essential educational programs to benefit the youth of the local community.
The selected foundations include Northern Lehigh School District Education Foundation, Northwestern Lehigh Educational Foundation, Inc., Parkland School District Education Foundation, Wildlands Conservancy Inc., Wildlife Information Center Inc., and Circle of Seasons Foundation Inc.
Donations were made through The Neffs National Bank’s participation in the state’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit program.
This program authorizes tax credits for contributions to educational improvement organizations and allows the bank to earmark their taxes to support these programs.
Since the bank began participation in the EITC program, it has contributed more than $1,100,000 to various educational foundations.
President/CEO of The Neffs National Bank Kevin Schmidt commented on the donations.
“These organizations are continuing to face uncertain times with increased budget constraints and the need to re-engineer their education programs,” Schmidt said. “I would encourage local businesses to support these organizations either directly or through participation in the EITC program.”
