Kenneth A. Moyer
Kenneth A. Moyer, 75, of Lehigh Township, died April 9, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Marie A. (Kratzer) Moyer for 36 years.
Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Harold A. and Ruth A. (Schaffer) Moyer.
He was a 1968 graduate of Northampton High School and furthered his education at Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School and Northampton Community College. He completed several civil and mechanical technology programs.
He had a 36-year career with Metropolitan Edison Company, Easton, in various capacities such as substation technician and electrical lineman, before retiring in 2021. Earlier, he worked as a machinist for Bell & Howell Inc., Allentown; the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, both in Easton and Bethlehem; the Neptune Chemical Pump of Lansdale; and Mack Trucks of Allentown. He also transported various liquid chemicals, freight and steel for Roadway Express Inc., of Tannersville, and the former Matlack Inc., of Northampton.
He was a member of the Palmerton congregation of Jehovah Witness, Slatington, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union, Allentown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jeneane A.M. and husband John Clark of Kissimmee, Fla.; three sisters, Kathleen A. and husband Kevin Achey of Allentown, Grayell K. and husband Eric Andrews of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Marysce Y. and husband Theodore Pine of Boyertown; three stepsons, James, Timothy and Michael and wife Lisa, all of Northampton; and two stepgrandchildren.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Jay F., Gerald E. and Leonard E.
