Henry H. Kradjel, 94, of Zionsville, died April 7, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of the late Janet V. (Fraser) Kradjel for 60 years. Born in Linden, N.J., he was a son of the late Heinrich and Alma (Breisch) Kradjel.
He graduated from Rahway High School in 1947.
After serving his country in the Army, he moved to Zionsville where he and his wife owned and operated Kradjel’s Market for 30 years.
He later worked as a mail carrier on rural routes serving Zionsville and surrounding areas.
His heart was deeply invested in serving his community. He dedicated himself to the betterment of Upper Milford Township as a township supervisor and as a member of the township planning committee for more than 40 years.
Beyond his official roles, he was a dependable neighbor, always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him.
He is survived by children, Donna Michener and her husband, Bob, Elaine Heiserman, Howard and his wife, Vera, Susan Smith; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald. He was predeceased by siblings, Martha Dalley, Ruth Clark, Paul.
