The Emil Schanta Band will entertain. Wear your fancy attire - tuxedos or suits for men and ballgowns or long skirts for women.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is holding a baked chicken dinner for pickup 4-5:30 p.m. April 20. The meal includes baked chicken with barbecue sauce, baked potato, green beans, applesauce or fruit cup, roll and dessert.

Preorders are required.

Coplay Garden Club will meet 7 p.m. April 30 in the social hall of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

According to Paul Boyle, public works director, the annual tire drop-off event is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 11 in the upper parking lot at Coplay Parkway.

He also reminds residents street sweeping will be May 15 and 16. Watch for and honor the “no parking” signs on sweeping days.
