Kutztown University
Students earn degrees
Kutztown University has conferred degrees for 404 students for the 2023 fall semester and 2024 winter session.
Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year.
The cumulative GPA necessary for honors distinction is with honor, cum laude, 3.4; with high honor, magna cum laude, 3.6; and with highest honor, summa cum laude, 3.8.

Dorward, Stewart earn provost’s list
Ohio University college of health sciences and professions students Kelly Dorward, of Bath, and Sabrina Stewart, of Whitehall, have been named to the fall 2023 provost’s list.
At the end of each semester, Ohio University’s undergraduate students are evaluated based on their semester GPA and hours to determine placement on the president’s, dean’s or provost’s list. The provost’s list recognition is shared with high-achieving, part-time undergraduate students who exemplify academic success. Qualifying students must possess a 3.5 or greater GPA and between 6 and 11.99 credit hours attempted for letter grades that are used to calculate GPA. In the 2023 fall semester, approximately 1,800 of Ohio University’s part-time undergraduate students qualified for the provost’s list.
