Charles Webster Collins Jr., 81, of Macungie, died April 4, 2024. He was the husband of Carol (Connolly) Collins for 56 years. He was the son of the late Charles Webster Collins Sr. and Pauline (Rotnour) Collins.
He graduated from Norwich High School, Norwich, N.Y. He attended Syracuse University, Mitchell College and graduated from the University of Illinois Institute of Aviation. After graduation, he was employed as a pilot for Kimberly Clark Corporation and he owned his own plane for many years.
He served honorably in the United States Army, where he was a helicopter crew chief, developing his lifelong love of flying.
He was an independent broker and financial adviser for Linsco Private Ledger for over 35 years.
He was originally a member of St. Thomas More Church, Allentown and more recently, St. Ann’s Church, Emmaus.
He loved to hunt and fish and spent summers working on his grandparents’ farm.
He was an active member of Quiet Birdmen and was a Master Mason of Jordan Martin Lodge 673 and Lehigh Lodge 326.
He was a loving and caring father and grandfather to his beloved family and was a friend to all.
He is survived by his wife; son, Craig M. (Stefani); daughter, Christen L. Martino (Eric); grandchildren, Caeli, Keira and Megan Martino, Alexei and Andrew; brother, Paul; sisters, Jennifer Erickson (Edward); Lauren Ripley (Michael); Susan Palmer (Brian); nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. April 27 at St. Ann’s Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus.Calling hours are 9-11 a.m. Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
