Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St., will hold a basket raffle 9 a.m.-1 p.m. April 20. In addition to the selection of baskets, the event will feature food items, baked goods, the “famous” pickled beets, a flea market and a book sale.

In celebration of Mother’s Day weekend, a ladies tea will be held May 11, where every sip supports the restoration and preservation of the George Taylor House, Lehigh and Poplar streets. The event will be held 1-4 p.m.

Limited seats are available, so reserve yours today!

Although it’s called a ladies tea, everyone, including gentlemen, is invited to attend. Due to the nature of the activities, this event isn’t suitable for young children.

The annual junior Victorian tea and basket raffle will take place 2-4 p.m. May 19 at Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church. The doors open 1:30 p.m. for a basket raffle.

The event is kid friendly and fun for ages 3-103. There will be kid-friendly beverages, desserts, activities and door prizes. Adults must accompany children. Dads, sons and grandsons are welcome, too.

Proceeds will be used to sponsor a child in Lesotho through World Vision and related causes.
