Talia Patricia Shumway, 15, of Schnecksville, died unexpectedly April 3, 2024, at her residence.

Born June 5, 2008, in Allentown, she was the daughter of Don B. Shumway Jr. and Marcie M. (Hallman) Shumway.

A 10th grade student at Parkland High School, she was also enrolled in a nursing program at LCTI.

She was employed part-time at Salad Works, Allentown.

Her vivacious nature and infectious smile inspired anyone who was fortunate enough to cross paths with her.

Her care and compassion were vividly evident through her love of animals.

She was a mom to her turtle, Allister, and her dogs Benny, Jilly and Whitney Jane.

She also enjoyed the volunteer work she did with her Grammy at the Emmaus Lioness Lions Club.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family and loyal friends.

In addition to her parents, Don B. Shumway Jr. and his wife, Amy, of Schnecksville, and Marcie M. (Hallman) Shumway and her companion, Matthew Hinkle, of Allentown, she is survived by siblings Kyle J. Shumway and his companion, Kailee Galarza, of Allentown, Gavin M. Dwane of Schnecksville, and Brooke L. Dwane of Schnecksville; maternal grandparents Joseph R. and Barbara L. (Zacharda) Hallman of Emmaus; paternal grandmother Tammy M. Shumway of Whitehall.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Don B. Shumway Sr. and paternal grandparents Dale E. and Linda S. (Hoenich) Leonard of Schuylkill Haven.
