Ruth Ann Purner, 87, of Allentown, died April 4, 2024, in her residence.

The wife of Earl W. Purner, the couple was married 64 years.

Born Feb. 25, 1937, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence T. and Mabel (Fenstermaker) Schneck.

She was a clerk in the Prothonotary’s Office of the Lehigh County Courthouse for 20 years before retiring in 1977.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

She enjoyed camping with family and friends and spent her free time reading and working on puzzle books.

She has a special place in her family’s hearts and left irreplaceable memories.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Melissa A. Purner-Snyder of Allentown; granddaughter Katherine R. Purner of Allentown; and brother-in-law Donald J. George of Allentown.

She was predeceased by siblings Dorothy J. George and Stanley Schneck.

A memorial service and visitation period will be announced by Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville, at a later date.
