Marian E. Bailey, 78, of Slatington, died April 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, in her home.

Born in Lynn Township, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Naomi (Long) Bailey.

A 1963 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, she was a sewing machine operator at the former Lynn Kempton Sportswear Company for many years.

She later was a clerk at Weis Markets, Schnecksville, until retiring in 2013.

She was a member of New Bethel Church, Kempton.

Her survivors include loving nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers Franklin, Richard and John Bailey; sisters Lucille Hamm, Janet German, Christine Kamp and Anna Handwerk.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. April 19 in Nester Funeral Home Inc., 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli.

Visitation period begins 10 a.m.

Interment will following immediately after the memorial service in Jacob’s Union Cemetery, New Tripoli.

The Rev. James W. LeVan will officiate.
