Liberty keeps stacking wins and Freedom suffered a tough loss on Monday in boys’ lacrosse.
The Hurricanes (7-2) continued their best start in program history by beating Daniel Boone, Northampton and Pleasant Valley last week to post their sixth win out of their last seven games.
Nate Vella led the way with five goals in the 13-8 win over Pleasant Valley and three goals in a 7-6 victory over Northampton, as the ‘Canes head into a tough week against Central Catholic and Northwestern on deck.
Both games pit Liberty against District 11 2A title contenders and should be a good gauge for where the team sits in the lacrosse scene.
Freedom (4-2) registered a pair of blistering wins over Emmaus and Saucon Valley last week, lighting up both teams to identical 20-1 victories.
Alex Greenberg scored eight goals in the win over Saucon Valley and Jared Karabinus added two goals and six assists. Those results are in the rearview, as Parkland laid the hammer down on the Pates Monday during an 11-3 victory.
Freedom has three games on deck this week against Moravian, Bethlehem Catholic and Phillipsburg to try and regain their footing.
Bethlehem Catholic (0-5) has struggled, scoring only five goals this season as they have another tough week ahead with league powers Easton and Freedom on deck.
