LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Girls teams back at .500

It was a quiet week of action in girls’ lacrosse thanks to last week’s weather. Liberty was able to play twice, as the Hurricanes picked up wins over Daniel Boone and Northampton to bring them even at the season at 3-3.

Ellis Corr scored six goals in the win over Boone, followed by Christina Bozakis tallying five goals in a 17-10 win. Corr scored another seven goals in their 14-10 victory over the K-Kids later in the week to give her a team leading 27 goals on the season for the sophomore.

The Hurricanes now have a week with Central Catholic, Northwestern and Pleasant Valley on tap where they close out the week against the undefeated Bears (8-0).

After an 0-2 start to the season, Freedom (2-2) has bounced back to .500 after defeating Saucon Valley 13-5 in their lone matchup last week.

The Pates got six goals from Jenelle Karabinus in the win, but also saw Karee Vandever notch four goals to push her total to 23 on the season.

The Pates have Moravian Academy and an undefeated Nazareth (7-0) squad on deck this week.
