Earl T. Schrammel, 89, of Kempton, died April 1, 2024, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the widower of Joyce (Kilpatrick) Schrammel.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Robert and Lillian (Stetz) Schrammel.

A lineman for PP&L for 27 years, he was a member of Ziegels Lutheran Church, Breinigsville.

He was a member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club and a life member of the NRA.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his love of family, he enjoyed gardening and raised competition-level beagles for many years.

He also enjoyed listening to music from the Big Band Era. Glenn Miller, Les Brown and Tommy Dorsey were among his favorites.

His survivors include children Diane Niedermeyer of Walnutport, Linda Schrammel of Weisenberg Township, Kurt Schrammel (Peggy) of Crested Butte, Colo., and Eric Schrammel of Morton, Delaware County; sister Susan Sunderland of Allentown; and grandchildren Chloe, Zachary and Jacob.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Schrammel Jr.

His service will be private.
