Dorothy M. Prokopovich, 94, of Allentown, died April 8, 2024, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.
She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Prokopovich.
Born May 29, 1929, in Eckley, Luzerne County, she was the daughter of the late John and Veronica (Swisko) Kimmel.
She was a graduate of Freeland High School.
She will be forever remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.
Her survivors include children JoAnn D. Hein (Dennis) of Allentown, David J. Prokopovich (Leo) of Whitehall, Theresa M. Schwartz (Darel) of Reading, Dorothy A. Rabenold (Scott) of Northampton; sister Eleanor Messineo (Vincent) of Fairfield, Conn.; sister-in-law Irene Rudewick of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
She was predeceased by an infant son, John; a grandson, Leo; and siblings Veronica, Edward, William, Mary and Helen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. April 12 in St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield.
Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Friday at church.
Interment will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.
