An Allentown teenager was killed April 8 after being struck by a vehicle on MacArthur Road, Whitehall Township.

According to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio, Emmanuel Gboyah, 15, was a pedestrian walking in the 1100 block of MacArthur Road, near the intersection of Mickley Road, just before 8:30 p.m. He was struck by a motor vehicle and later died in the Emergency Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

Buglio said an autopsy will be performed April 10 to determine the cause of the teen’s death.

That section of MacArthur Road (Route 145) was closed for a few hours while authorities investigated.

In addition to the coroner’s office, the Whitehall Township Police Department, Lehigh County Crash Team and Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
